About Us
_
I am Holiday Manning, a silver jewelry artist. Using various metals, hand tools, and beads to build the pieces that I dream up. All Design, fabrication, waxwork, and finishing are kept in house to individualize the pieces. Casting work is done off site (for now). I provide product for stores, boutiques, galleries, gift shops, and individuals. In high school, I started making beaded jewelry for friends and family as a creative outlet and inexpensive gifts. This progressed for years into custom work, farmers markets, and small local shows. After marriage, a toddler, and new baby, I needed to have a creative outlet and time to myself. I pursued challenges in jewelry by taking silversmithing classes, setting up a shop, and creating my business Soli Jewelry, named after my two girls. With a background in horticulture and public speaking, teaching classes and designing bohemian style jewelry has been a fluid decision. I continue to push myself out of my artistic comfort zone- always taking classes to expand my jewelry knowledge, going to conferences, and learning just by diving in and "doing". I am so blessed to have found my passion at an early age, snagged a wonderfully supportive husband, and am able to pursue my wildest artistic dreams. I thrive in the suburbs of Phoenix on a small farm brimming with kids, plants, and animals. My husband and I have been “green” for many years and feel strongly about living an environmentally conscious and sustainable life. - Holiday Manning | Creating out in the shop
My metal work is done in the shop. It's nothing fancy, a big tin converted hay barn...but I get the job done.
